Introducing CAMP:CREATE
An imaginative 5-day camp for kids ages 7-12 to be immersed in the arts and explore the Gospel through hands-on creative workshops led by professional art educators
Our approach
We believe that kids are meant to learn through tactile learning due to their innate God-given creativity. We don’t stray away from mess, but rather embrace it so that each child can be engaged through their senses by the Gospel. We take an immersive approach to learning with hands-on art history lessons coupled technical art skills to provide an impactful, valuable, and educational week-long camp for kids ages 7-12.
When and where?
The week of camp takes place July 21-25 at Verge Church during the following times:
Monday-Thursday : 9am-1pm
Friday : 9am-12pm
At the end of the week the kids get the opportunity to participate in a gallery opening complete with refreshments, music, and celebration. This is on the last day in the evening 6pm-7pm.
What can I expect?
This year we will be exploring French Impressionism! The week will consist of 4 art workshops centered around a lesson about an artist and application of a specific technique, 1 collaborative art project that the campers will work on with their group that will be displayed at our end of the week gallery, and small breakout sessions that will teach the basics of color theory, sketching, finding forms, etc. Outside of this- the week is filled with fun and the kids building meaningful relationships with their peers.

“My daughter was hesitant to try Camp:Create but it turned out to be the highlight of her summer! I can see how she is more intentional about creating art and drawn to try new art forms because of this experience.”
